: 04.24.08: The Board of Regents granted conditional approval for the Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIP Code 11.0101) at Baton Rouge Community College, effective immediately. By June 1, 2009, and annually on that date until CAC of ABET accreditation has been achieved, a progress report shall be due to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs addressing: 1. Numbers of students/graduates; 2. Adequacy of faculty 3. Progress toward specialized accreditation; 4. Placement of graduates; and 5. Transfer rates of students matriculating into baccalaureate degree programs.The Board of Regents granted conditional approval for the Associate of Science in Computer Science (CIP Code 11.0701), effective Fall 2015, at Baton Rouge Community College. By June 1, 2016, and annually, the campus will update the Board of program implementation, to include relevant enrollment and progression data and progress toward accreditation.

Conditions, Subsequent Action(s)

2009/06/25: Receive the June 2009 progress report relative to implementation of the A.S. program in Computer Information Systems at Baton Rouge Community College. A subsequent progress report, addressing previously mandated items and comments in the staff summary, shall be due to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs by June 1, 2010. 2010/06/24: The Board of Regents received the June 2010 progress report from Baton Rouge Community College relative to implementation and development of the A.S. in Computer Science. By September 1, 2011, a progress report is due updating the Board on enrollment and completion figures. 2011/12/07 The Board of Regents accepted the 2011 progress report. A 2012 progress report is due by June 1, 2012 updating that which was previously requested. 2012/06/27: Board of Regents received the annual report. Since accreditation has not been achieved, a progress report shall be due by 06.01.2013 addressing all areas previously noted. 2013/04/24: Board of Regents terminated the program. As a result,no further reporting is necessary. By June 1, 2016, and annually, the campus will update the Board of program implementation, to include relevant enrollment and progression data and progress toward accreditation; 06.29.2016 - The BoR received the progress report and requested a subsequent report on implementation (e.g., enrollments & completers); 06.21.17. The BoR received and accepted the progress report. A subsequent report is requested by June 1, 2018; BoR received and accepted a progress report on June 20, 2018. A subsequent report is requested by July 1, 2019; 8.28.2019 - Regents received and accepted the progress report. Due to strong graduation and enrollment, no further reporting is required.
