Condition Text: On motion of Regent Roy, seconded by Regent Levy, the Board voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee to grant conditional, two-year approval for the proposed Center for Nursing Education and Practice at Southeastern Louisiana University, effective immediately. By November 1, 2008, the University shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a progress report updating external funding efforts during FY 2007-2008. Thereafter, as required by Board of Regents’ Guidelines: Requests for New Centers, Institutes, and Other Academic Research Units, the University shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a proposal for full approval by November 1, 2009. 2008/12/03: On motion of Regent Labat, seconded by Regent Brame, the Academic and Student Affairs Committee unanimously recommended that the Board of Regents receive the November 2008 progress report from Southeastern Louisiana University relative to implementation of the Center for Nursing Research in Education and Practice. Per previous action, the University shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a request for full approval no later than November 1, 2009. Should such request not be received by the aforementioned date, the Board of Regents shall re-examine the continuing need for this unit. 2010/03/24: The Board of Regents granted continued approval for the Center for Nursing Research in Education and Practice at Southeastern Louisiana University through June 30, 2014. Prior to the date of expiration, a request for reauthorization of center status (using Form C) is due. Annual progress reports (due on June 30 in years 2011, 2012, and 2013) are due addressing unit accomplishments and complete budgets noting external funding secured and related unit costs. 2011/08/24: Progress report submitted by campus in July 2011 and was received by the BoR. An annueal progress report is due by June 30, 2012 addressing all items previously identified. 2012/08/22: Board of Regents accepted the 2012 progress report. The next annual report is due by June 30, 2013. The institution is asked to report on all areas previously noted. 2013.08.21: Board of Regents received and accepted the 2013 progress report. A request for reauthorization of the research unit is to be submitted by June 30, 2014. 08.27.2014: The Board of Regents granted an additional five years of approval, through June 2019. A request for reauthorization shall be due by June 1, 2019; 8.28.2019 - Board approved renaming the center as the Center for Collaborative Nursing Research, and granted continued authorization for five years. Request for reauthorization is due July 1, 2024.
