Condition Text: A report and proposal for continued designation as a Center for Workforce Excellence is due by June 1, 2015. 06.17.2015 The Board of Regents granted approval of continued designation of the Culinary Center for Workforce Excellence, with a report on progress of the CCWE building renovations and a proposal for continued designation as a CWE due by December 1, 2016. 09.27.17: BoR approved suspension of the designation of the Culinary Center for Workforce Excellence at Delgado Community College until the college applies for reauthorization with evidence of excellence in (1) enrollments, completers, and contribution to the workforce in all of its culinary programming, and (2) private sector support and investment of time and resources to rejuvenate the culinary program; staff extended deadline for request to April 1, 2020 to allow additional time for analysis. 9/21/2020 - Staff met with the campus, and the decision was made to officially suspend the center indefinitely. The campus is working on developing a revised version of the center, and will return with a new request for designation as a CWE once requirements for the designation are met.
