The Board of Regents granted one-year, conditional approval of The Epilepsy Center in October 2002. A preogress report was provided by the campus in October 2003 which resulted in continued approval of the Center through October 2004. In October 2008 conditional approval was granted through September 30, 2013. At that time, the University shall submit a request for reauthorization of center status with a progress report detailing Center activities to-date and external funding secured to afford future operations.

A request for reauthorization of Center status with a progress report detailing Center activities to date and external funding secured to afford future Center operations shall be submitted by September 30, 2013. 05.21.2014: The Board of Regents granted reauthorization of the Center for a period of five years, effective immediately. A request for continued authorization shall be due by June 1, 2019. ; 8.28.2019 - Board approved continued authorization of the center for five years, and a report and request for reauthorization is due July 1, 2024.
