A request for full authorization shall be due by December 1, 2014. 02.23.2015 The Board of Regents granted full approval of the Institute, effective immediately. A request for reauthorization shall be due by March 1, 2020; 9/23/2020 - Board approved LSU's request to terminate the institute. Any subsequent requests for an advanced materials research unit must demonstrate stability in leadership, relevance, and funding to be considered for approval.
