: The Board voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee to grant conditional approval for the Associate of Science in Business (CIP Code 52.0101) at Baton Rouge Community College, effective immediately. By January 1, 2007, the College shall submit a progress report to the Commissioner of Higher Education documenting efforts to establish articulation agreements with the Colleges of Business at LSU A&M and Southern University Baton Rouge, as well as a timeline for achieving program accreditation from the Association of College Business Schools and Programs.

2007/12/06: On motion of Regent Roy, seconded by Regent Klein, the Academic and Student Affairs Committee unanimously recommended that the Board of Regents receive the AY 2006-2007 Progress Report Relative to Implementation of the Associate of Science in Business at Baton Rouge Community College. 2008/06/26: The Board of Regents received the AY 2007-2008 Progress Report Relative to Implementation of the Associate of Science in Business at Baton Rouge Community College. By December, 1, 2008, the College shall submit a report to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs addressing the following: a. Program’s progress toward ACBSP accreditation; b. Finalized articulation agreements with four-year Business programs at Southern University-Baton Rouge, Nicholls State University, and Southeastern Louisiana University; and c. A summary of progress toward maximum transferability of Business credits possible with Louisiana State University and A&M. 2009/01/22: The Board of Regents received the November 2008 Progress Report from Baton Rouge Community College relative to implementation of the Associate of Science in Business. By December 1, 2009, the College shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a subsequent progress report, addressing the following: 1. Status of ACBSP accreditation; 2. Final articulation agreements with SUBR and LSU A&M, as appropriate; and 3. The placement of program graduates to date. 2010/01/28: A subsequent progress report, addressing finalization of appropriate articulation arrangements with SUBR and the development/ implementation of a program graduate placement tracking system, is due by January 1, 2011. 02.23.2011: The Board of Regents accepted the January 2011 Progress Report. A subsequent report is due by January 1, 2012 addressing the articulation agreement with SUBR and reporting on the graduate survey conducted in 2011. 2012/02/28: Board of Regents received the 2012 progress report. Based on the growth of the program and other factors, full approval was granted to the program. There is no need for continued reporting on this program.
