Conditional approval

On motion of Regent Roy, seconded by Regent Brame, the Academic and Student Affairs Committee unanimously recommended conditional approval for the proposed post-baccalaureate Certificate program in Information Assurance (CIP Code 52.1201) at Louisiana Tech University, effective immediately. The University shall update the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs on its progress toward filling vacant faculty positions and achieving CASS course certification by May 1, 2008.

2008/06/26: The Board of Regents received the April 2008 progress report from Louisiana Tech University relative to implementation of the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Information Assurance (CIP Code 52.1201). By June 1, 2009, the University shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a progress report updating the current status of program certification(s) by the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).
2009/06/25: The Board of Regents received the April 2009 progress report from Louisiana Tech University relative to the implementation of the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) in Information Assurance. As all stipulations associated with initial, conditional program approval by the Board of Regents have been fulfilled, the staff recommends full program approval.
