: The Board of Regents granted conditional approval for the proposed Associate of Applied Science programs in Drafting and Design Technology (CIP Code 15.1301) and Industrial Electronics Technology (CIP Code 47.0105) at the Louisiana Technical College-Alexandria campus effective immediately. By June 1, 2010, and annually on that date until both programs have achieved accreditation by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE, formerly NAIT), a progress report for each program shall be submitted to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs addressing: a. Arrangements with proximate SACS-accredited colleges/universities to offer required general education courses; b. Numbers of enrollees and graduates and placement of graduates; c. Adequacy of resources for the program; d. Establishment of advisory boards for the programs and meeting agenda; and e. Progress toward ATMAE accreditation.

Conditions, Subsequent Action(s)

By June 1, 2010, and annually on that date until both programs have achieved accreditation by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE, formerly NAIT), a progress report for each program shall be submitted to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs addressing: a. Adequacy of resources for the program; d. Establishment of advisory boards for the programs and meeting agenda; and e. Progress toward ATMAE accreditation. 12.02.10 Board of Regents accepted the 2010 progress report. A subsequent progress report is due by June 1, 2011 in which the following should be addressed: (1) Number of enrollees and graduates and placement of graduatesand (2) progress toward accreditation. 2011/09/22: Board of Regents received 2011 progress report. An annual progress report is due by June 1, 2012 addressing all items previously identified. 2012/08/22: Board of Regents received the 2012 progress report. A subsequent report is requested by June 1, 2013. The institution is asked to report on all areas previously noted. 2014/02/17: Board of Regents accepted the progress report submitted by the campus in fall 2013. A subsequent report on enrollment and completer data, and progress made toward specialized accreditation is requested by January 1, 2015. 03.25.2015 The Board of Regents received and accepted the 2014 progress report. A subsequen report is requested by January 1, 2016. Note - The AAS in Industrial Electronics Technology was cancelled in May 2013 so no reporting on that program is necessary. 02.22.2016 The Board of Regents received and accepted the progress report regarding the AAS in Drafting and Design. It was noted in the report that that campus would like to terminate the Drafting and Design degree. In order to do so a formal request must be submitted for consideration. If a termination request is not submitted then the campus is to provide a progress report by January 1, 2017. 11.02.2016 - AAS/Drafting & Design was terminated.
