: The Board of Regents granted conditional approval for the Master of Physician's Assistant Sciences program (CIP Code 51.0912) at the LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport. Prior to implementation (anticipated for May 2010), the Health Sciences Center shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a report documenting: 1. Necessary approval for tuition levels sufficient to support program implementation and development; and 2. The hiring of one, additional full-time faculty. Thereafter, beginning June 1, 2010 and annually on that date until conditions of approval have been fulfilled, the Health Sciences Center shall submit a report to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs documenting: 1. A projected balanced budget for the program; 2. Progress toward the hiring of a second new full-time faculty member; 3. Status of program accreditation; and 4. Numbers of enrollees, completers, and placement of graduates.

Condition/Action: 2009/08/27: Thereafter, beginning June 1, 2010, and annually on that date until conditions of approval have been fulfilled, the Health Sciences Center shall submit a report to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs documenting: 1. A projected balanced budget for the program; 2. Progress toward the hiring of a second new full-time faculty member; 3. Status of program accreditation; and 4. Numbers of enrollees, completers, and placement of graduates. The Board of Regents received the June 2010 progress report relative to the implementation of the Master of Physician’s Assistant Studies at the LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport. As previously stipulated, the next report is due June 1, 2011. Thereafter, beginning June 1, 2010, and annually on that date until conditions of approval have been fulfilled, the Health Sciences Center shall submit a report to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs documenting: 1. A projected balanced budget for the program; 2. Progress toward the hiring of a second new full-time faculty member; 3. Status of program accreditation; and 4. Numbers of enrollees, completers, and placement of graduates. 2011/06/23 Board of Regents accepted 2011 progress report. An annual report is due by June 1, 2012 addressing all items previously noted with the exception of reporting on accreditation since this has been achieved. 2012/06/27: The Board of Regents received the 2012 progress report. A subsequent report will be due by June 1, 2013 in which the institution shall report on the number of enrollees and completers. 2013/09/26: The Board of Regents received and accepted the 2013 annual report. No additional reporting is necessary since enrollment is robust and completer numbers exceed the viability threshold.
