: The Board of Regents granted conditional approval for the proposed Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Veterinary Technology (CIP Code 51.0808) at the Louisiana Technical College – Florida Parishes. By December 1, 2010, the College shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a progress report addressing the following: 1. Numbers of enrollees, retention rates, program completers, and the placement of completers; 2. Data regarding numbers of transfer students from each related CTS feeder programs; and 3. An update on program staffing.

Conditions, Subsequent Action(s)

By December 1, 2010, the College shall submit to the Associate Commissioner for Academic Affairs a progress report addressing the following: 1. Numbers of enrollees, retention rates, program completers, and the placement of completers; 2. Data regarding numbers of transfer students from each related CTS feeder programs; and 3. An update on program staffing. 02.23.2011: The Board of Regents accepted the 2010 Progress Report. A subsequent report is due by December 1, 2011 addressing: (1) number of enrollees and the placement of completers and (2) data regarding number of transfer students from each related CTS feeder school. 04/25/2012: Board of Regents received the 2011 progress report. A subsequent report addressing the two areas previously noted shall be due by April 1, 2013. 06.26.2013: The Board of Regents accepted the progress report. A subsequent report addressing all previous items shall be due by April 1, 2014. 04.23.2014: The Board of Regents received and accepted the 2014 progress report. A subsequent report on enrollment and completer data shall be due by April 1, 2015. 04.22.2015: The Board of Regents received and accepted the progress report. A subsequent report is requested by April 1, 2016. 04.27.2016: the BoR received and accepted the progress report indicating the campus' considering this a critical program through growth has been slow (3 AAS & 5 CTs in 2014-15). A subsequent report is requested by April 1, 2017. 04.26.2017: The Board of Regents received and accepted the progress report. A subsequent report is requested by March 1, 2018. 05.23.2018: The BoR received and accepted the progress report. A subsequent report is requested by March 1, 2019; 6.19.2019 - Board accepted the report. A subsequent report is due 9.1.2020; 12/16/2020 - Board accepted the report. A subsequent report is due 7/1/2022; 6/14/2023 - Board accepted the report. The next report must address how the institution is addressing issues of low enrollment and completion. The next report is due 10/1/2024; 9/25/2024 – The Board received and accepted the report as part of the 2024 Academic Plan. The program has not demonstrated satisfactory progress in enrollment and completer growth. An action plan for program improvement is due 1/15/2025, and a report on progress toward meeting enrollment and completion expectations is due 6/1/2025.
