The Regents approved the reconfiguration of the PhD in Geography & Anthropology (CIP 45.0701) into two separate programs: the PhD in Geography (CIP 45.0701) and the PhD in Anthropology (CIP 45.0201). A progress report on implementation is due December 1, 2020.

Progress report on implementation of the transition and enrollment in each program; 6/16/2021 - Board accepted the report. A subsequent report, including updates on the full transition from the original joint program, is due 10/1/22; 9/21/2022 - Board accepted progress report for both PhD Anthropology and PhD Geography as part of Academic Planning process. Next report is due 10/1/2023. 8/22 - PhD Geography CIP changed. The original joint program was changed to just geography in 2018 and a new PhD Anthropology was added to the CRIN. New geography CIP is 30.4401; 9/20/2023 - Board received and accepted the report as part of the annual academic planning process. The program has demonstrated satisfactory progress. The next report is due October 1, 2024 or as part of the annual academic planning process due August 1, 2024; 9/25/2024 – The Board received and accepted the report as part of the 2024 Academic Plan. The program has demonstrated satisfactory progress in enrollment and completer growth. The next report is due with the 2025 Academic Plan.
