BoR granted conditional approval of the Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Management (CIP 49.0199) at the University of Louisiana, Monroe, and termination of the Bachelor of Science in Aviation (CIP 49.0102). A progress report on the new program implementation shall be due by June 1, 2019; 8.28.2019 - Regents received and accepted the progress report. The corresponding PBC was also terminated, and the new UC approved. A subsequent report, including updates on secured practice opportunities for students and UAS donations, is due 7.1.2020; 12/16/2020 - Board accepted the report. A subsequent report is due 7/1/2022, and must include updates on impact of reduced air restrictions and the addition of hands-on training on enrollment; 6/14/2023 - Board accepted report that program is making satisfactory progress. The next report is due 10/1/2024; 9/25/2024 – The Board received and accepted the report as part of the 2024 Academic Plan. The program has demonstrated satisfactory progress in enrollment and completer growth. The next report is due with the 2025 Academic Plan. 9/25/2025 – The Board received and accepted the report as part of the 2025 Academic Plan. The program has not demonstrated satisfactory progress in enrollment and completer growth. An action plan for program improvement is due 1/15/2026, and an updated report will be due with the 2026 Academic Plans.
UPDATE August 2026: Program improvement plan will be due on January 15, 2027, followed by a progress report to be due with the 2027-28 Academic Plan.
